[Bug 1886672] [NEW] Multiple screen display issues
Public bug reported: New bug for me. Issue was fine till last week. I think this may be related to the following as it started happening shortly thereafter. I have XPS13 with second monitor, all working fine till I lock screen or suspend. Then my second monitor will not 'resume'. I.e. stays off. This behaviour started after (or shortly after) playing a wine game using Lutris to launch. Shutting game down and almost immediately hitting suspend on the laptop. Was rushing out. It's a wild shot in the dark but I think something got messed up / not saved correctly in this process. To get it working I need to unplug monitor (using USB-C > HDMI) > suspend > plug in monitor > resume and sometimes still need to open display settings before it 'kicks in'. Damn annoying. [Bug 917035] Re: Banshee stops playing on song change to flac/ogg type files, sometime application freezes on song change (any file type)
Ok so some progress: - Banshee no longer randomly hangs on song change - Flac mp3 files play with no problems Confirmed reproducible behaviour: - Song change TO song in ogg format results in banshee play pausing. It will not start the song unless I manually move the song progress slider. The song then plays. It also stops playing after completion of the ogg file. @chow I don't think this is a addon issue. Some feedback folks. After running this mornings updates and also muting all sound and closing Empathy, gnome-shell seems stable. Now which of these three things has helped I don't know. [Bug 579966] Re: OpenOffice crashes with high frequency
Hi All, I moved to the latest LibreOffice release candidate and stability is much better now. Not had this crash since. Details on PPA and installing here: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/01/new-ppa-makes-installing-libreoffice-on-ubuntu-easy/ Hope that helps. [Bug 579966] Re: OpenOffice crashes with high frequency
@Phil Ayres I can confirm that I get random crashes, about once a week, with Evolution too. Not as catastrophic as the OpenOffice crashes, as in does not close the whole application down, but tasks and calendar quit and I have to restart Evo to get them up and running again. I cannot say if this is related, but Evolution is definitely not 100% stable for me, but no where near as problematic as the OpenOffice crashes. -- OpenOffice crashes with high frequency https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/579966 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 573415] Re: g-s-d uses high disk i/o
This causes a performance issue for me to. Very heavy IO which negatively impacts the whole system. -- g-s-d uses high disk i/o https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573415 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 579966] Re: OpenOffice crashes with high frequency
Cameron, apologies for the delayed feedback. Definitely more stable in day to day use since the upgrade from the PPA. I'll test the hibernate scenario shortly. Another note, but it may be a red herring, is that I no longer have dropbox running 24/7 on this box. -- OpenOffice crashes with high frequency https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/579966 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 579966] Re: OpenOffice crashes with high frequency
