I tried to complete a few standard updates and the grub file appears to be 
giving problems.  Upon reboot, the little red (Do Not Enter) icon is found on 
the upper tool bar.  I tried Synaptic to reinstall, and it now says the file is 
in an unstable manner, and should be reinstalled before trying to uninstall it.
