[Bug 191316] Re: Fspot reports error for importing Nikon D80
1. I am not using F-spot unless I have to. I do like Picasa more for flexible imports, image manipulation and use of directories. 2. I do have a D90 now, and that was still troubling me last time I tried. And for ease of use and greater speed, I am used to swap the SD-card, and insert it in the reader in my PC. 3. using Lucid now, this bug dates back to 2008 for what it is worth: I will test my old D80, and D90 D90: not recognized at all D80: not recognized at all, both in MTP/PTP and in Mass-storage mode. Wow surprise. I guess something is stuck with USB, altough my ebook did just function this afternoon on the same cable. I do attach part of syslog. ** Attachment added: "excerpt from syslog" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/50328024/syslog -- Fspot reports error for importing Nikon D80 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191316 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 194999] Re: unable to install hardy twice
I will try to install something intrepid/jaunty -64 on the same partition I reported the failure earlier, but I do not think this has to do with bug 149832, as the install partition was already occupied with ext3 (and Gutsy-386). But it could have something to do with the swapping/addition of the drives. as far as I can remember: starting situation: sda1: WinXP (ntfs), sda2,3,5,6,7,8,9 contains OS/2, swap partition and data on HPFS, Fat32 and JFS(os/2) drives sdb1: gutsy /; sdb5: linux swap; sdb6 gutsy /home added 1 new drive as sda, old sda connected as sdb, no readable partitions for WinXP on new sda, so still on C: (and working, but failed later due to NTFS-trouble) old sdb connected as sdc installed hardy 386 -alpha4 on sda1/sda6, copied settings/mail from sdc6 (old home) I seem to remember after this installation Grub was able to start gutsy from sdc1 installed hardy 64 -alpha5 on sdc1 as / and sda6 mounted as /home grub error 17 when starting hardy 64 from sdc1 hardy-386 from sda1 still works In the mean time, i upgraded the hardy -386 alpha4 to intrepid -386 -- unable to install hardy twice https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/194999 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 191316] Re: Fspot reports error for importing Nikon D80
Still not fixed with 8.10rc with today's updates. With updated Nikon firmware 1.11 and camera set to PTP/MTP. (see screenshot-1) When the camera is mounted in Mass Storage mode, F-spot is not automatically launched, but when it is started by either window (see next comment), it is able to import the pictures without unmounting. So I think it has something to do with the implementation of the MTP/PTP Nikon window locking the USB-port. The Mass-storage window does not lock that port, or F-spot does not require a lock or can accept a used port with a lock by another program ** Attachment added: "Screenshot-1.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19037148/Screenshot-1.png -- Fspot reports error for importing Nikon D80 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/191316 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
