[Bug 458044] Re: déja dup does not have an option to exclude hidden files (~save.txt or .config.txt)
I have an use case a little bit tricky.. I want to backup a folder with a lot of SVN checkouts, and each checkout and its subfolders all have an .svn folder, which I don't want to backup. [Bug 1288553] [NEW] No dash nor window title bars on unity after upgrate from precise to trusty
Public bug reported: I've upgraded from precise to trusty a few weeks ago and I'm not able to use unity anymore. If I choose Ubuntu on lightdm, I got only my desktop screen, with no dash nor top bar, just my desktop icons. If I open any window, The window appears with no title bar. To report this bug, I typed Ctrl + Alt + T, and used apport-bug, which opened the browser. I'm not able to switch back to the terminal right now I'm writing this description, thus alt+tab doesn't work too. Just let me know if you need more info. [Bug 984895] Re: Kernel panic trying to move and grow partitions
This problem happened again with me, now with an ext4 partition, so it's not anything ntfs-specific. I also reproduced it with my screen on, so it's not related to screen saver or sleep. When the bug occours, the screen gets freezed, no mouse mouse, but X keeps showing the last screen (gparted doing the operation). I guess this screenshot wouldn't be usefull, so I haven't taken a picture. Again, I could not found any useful log. I just installed kerneloops- applet and linux-crashdump, let's see if they could help me with more info. If you guys have dome guide to teach me how to collects logs about it, please let me konw. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/984895 Title: Kernel panic trying to move and grow partitions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/984895/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 984895] [NEW] Kernel panic trying to move and grow ntfs partition
Public bug reported: This morning I was trying to move (again, I got this same error 2 times before) one of my NTFS partitions from one drive to another. I oredered gparted to do that and, as it's a long time operation, I left my pc doing that. When I came back, there was a kernel panic. The Caps lock and the Scroll lock were both blinking. It might have happened about 10:00 April 17. I hope the attached logs help, if you need any more info, please ask. I'm reporting this because I got this error 3 times, and I lost all my data. If I hadn't a backup, I would be very sad now. [Bug 881490] [NEW] Switched channels on HDMI 5.1 setup (Nvidia ION)
Public bug reported: I've choosen a Surround setup (HDMI 5.1) via sound preferences, and I got a problem. Some channels were inverted. I used the Hardware Test speakers' to verify. The center sound was appearing on the rear-left, and so on... The only right channels were front-left and front-right. After search about this problem on the internet, I found this site: http://www.bunkerhollow.com/blogs/matt/archive/2011/06/18/zotac-nd22-xbmc-hdmi-audio-configuration-in-ubuntu-11-04.aspx The first weird thing is that the mentioned file, /usr/share/pulseaudio /alsa-mixer/profile-sets/nvidia.conf, doesn't exist on my machine, although I don't know if it were supposed to exist. After search for some similar file, I fixed the problem change the file /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/profile-sets/extra-hdmi.conf. I did what was suggested, commented the channel-map line and put a new one, as follows: ;channel-map = front-left,front-right,rear-left,rear-right,front-center,lfe channel-map = front-left,front-right,front-center,lfe,rear-left,rear-right I'm reporting this because I think there is a way to detected the sound board and do it automatically.
