I can report the same for me as Kestal. I crashes on live cd and clean install (alpha4). It crashes with ubuntu theme or default. unfortunately i can not because i reinstalled my system. upgrade from 7.10 to 8.04 was really problematic and slow. but clean install of 8.04 seems to work really stable and fast.
