I did some testing: deactivated the dedicated graphics in the bios,
booted to ubuntu 18.04 and 18.10 (installed parallel) and both worked.
Though with the dedicated graphics enabled (nvidia) the brightness does
not work...

I don't think that a normal user should have to disable stuff after a fresh
install i.o. to make ubuntu work. I believe that this should be patched here
and the patch should be forwarded upstream.

Pulseaudio usually crashes on login (if the headset is plugged) or when
a sound is played. The only way to be able to click outside the active
window is to unplug the headset.
I have the same issue with a Creative HS-950 headset, should I report a

sabayon wont let you get a fixed profile, or edit it in maintenance
basis.

Got the same issue, using 2.29.5 in ubuntu lucid 10.04 fresh install,
fully updated. Sabayon is a must on ubuntu, mostly to overcome the
windows kiosk alternatives with gpolicies and recently added microsoft-
steady-state. I can open sabayon, view the desktop, make changes, save
and close, but
it affects me as well. im updating my notebook since 8.04, and now from
9.10 to 10.04, and installed ubuntustudio packages. I wanna install
splashy to get ubuntu loading screen back, since ubuntustudio installed
its own usplash and xsplash
