My D-Link DWL-G122 is really slow in 11.04. Revert to 10.10 solved my problem. Unfortunately I don't have the Start_Stop_Count value, but I'm sure that my HD is affected by this bug (I can hear the click). It's a Dell XPS M1330 with the 400gb HD. On Battery it seems that nothing changes? Is it correct? I see that on battery the bug seems solved only for someone. In the description I can see the Start_Stop_Count stops increase only on AC, but why it stops increasing on battery for someone?
