[Bug 1927222] [NEW] Thinkpad OneLink Dock ethernet no longer working
Public bug reported: I recently upgraded my Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 3rd Gen from 16.04 to 20.04, and after returning to my office I found that my external dock no longer picks up the ethernet. The lights no longer light up on the port and no network connection is made. I can still use my Thinkpad's built- in ethernet which requires a cable adapter. See CurrentDmesg.txt starting with the line "[120721.341601] thinkpad_acpi: docked into hotplug port replicator". The problem appears similar to bug 1712218, but with slightly different hardware. [Bug 534604] Re: sbackupd.py crashed with OSError in do_backup()
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. The sbackup package is no longer provided in recent versions of Ubuntu. If you're still having this problem with supported LTS releases, please post back here. This sounds like an interesting setup that sbackup has probably never accounted for. I'll make the bug public in case anybody can comment on it before it expires (I don't see any sensitive content). ** Changed in: sbackup (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Information type changed from Private to Public -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/534604 Title: sbackupd.py crashed with OSError in do_backup() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sbackup/+bug/534604/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1650882] Re: Some sbackup messages in log are in Spanish

Thanks for your bug report. This report is quite old, not in English, and sbackup is no longer included in Ubuntu. After translation, this appears to be a question more than a bug report. Nominated for Xenial since this is presumably fixed in Yakkety. I understand your frustration, claus. I also would very much like this fixed in Xenial, but I still believe (to my own dismay) that the Low importance is appropriate per the triage guidelines - see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Importance. [Bug 1478754] [NEW] [Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 3rd Gen] Wireless disconnects using Intel 7265 [8086:095b] (rev 59)
Public bug reported: Wireless disconnects from networks randomly - sometimes connections OK for days, other times for only a few minutes. Sometimes a wireless power off/on or system standby/resume re-establishes connection, but usually a reboot is required. Wireless hardware and symptoms similar to bug 1437913, but different laptop model. Log messages vary depending on the type of network being used. [Bug 575694] Re: Shouldn't mention network-admin to set up modems
I marked bug 521541 as a duplicate of this, which suggests using Gnome- ppp as opposed to network-admin. If we update these docs for Lucid, I expect this is the best place to start investigating options. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/575694 Title: Shouldn't mention network-admin to set up modems To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+bug/575694/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
