[Bug 733281] [NEW] Volume slider has no indication of focus on hover

2011-03-11 Thread Conscious User
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-sound Because indicators are menus, all items should indicate focus on hover for consistency. Currently, the volume slider does not show focus indication until you actually click on it. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package:

[Bug 733276] [NEW] Calendar changes color on focus and never changes back

2011-03-11 Thread Conscious User
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-datetime When you open the Date and Time indicator and hover over the calendar, it changes color. I suppose this is to indicate focus, but the color never changes back, even when you stop hovering and even when you hover the other menu items.

[Bug 732004] [NEW] No Desktop menubar until the first window is opened

2011-03-09 Thread Conscious User
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity The appmenu in Unity is supposed to show a placeholder Desktop menubar (an altered version of the Nautilus menubar) when no window is focused. However, this placeholder only starts to work after you open a window for the first time and unfocus it.

Correction: you don't have to actually open a new window and unfocus it. Clicking on the desktop is enough for the menu to start appearing. Apparently when you log in nothing, including the desktop, has focus. The main point remains, though: this first click should not be necessary. The desktop
