I can also confirm the bug. After running 'quickly design' in terminal
Glade crashes, showing the same behaviour as described above.

Same problem here, using Kubuntu 10.04 LTS with ext4 and a brand new
hard disk. I noticed it also on my laptop.
Running iotop, jbd2/sda1-8 does seem to be very frequently writing to
the disk. But there are also some writes that aren't logged. Hope this
problem can be solved soon!

Got same error message. For people who don't want to get the akonadi-
error everytime they start Kontact, I have a little workaround.
- Go to System Preferences
- Open Autostart
- Add program...
- insert: akonadictl start
- Select start in terminal (or something like that)
- Ok
- Ok
- Close
