Re: [Bug 692131] Re: package squid 2.7.STABLE9-2.1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2011-01-03 Thread Cylon
I did reply. Not sure why it didn't go through.

I believe the problem was related to the GTK Admin Tools I installed.
Going back to 10.10 fixed everything.

2010-12-23 Thread Cylon
I'm having all kinds of issues but I think it's due to the GTK Admin
tools I installed. All of the file permissions on my system have been
hosed ever since using this to install ProFTPd. Once I'm back on that
machine I'll forward a copy of my squid.conf to you.

Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

The logs show that squid failed to start after being re-installed, but
don't show why. Could you attach your /etc/squid/squid.conf and
/var/log/squid/* files?

It also may be helpful to try:

service squid stop
service squid start

and look for error messages on the console.

Re: [Bug 255871] [NEW] firefox 3doesn´t l oad images from many websites

2008-08-08 Thread Cylon
Hi,
Thank you for you support.
I created a new profile and it works fine , but 1 week ago I removed my
entire profile from $HOME/.mozilla and I thought it was solved , my
happiness didn´t last more than 24 hours. it is just not with images ,
sometimes it never finish loading a website , clicking stop and reloading
after few minutes usually solves it.

Thank you again.

[Bug 255871] [NEW] firefox 3 doesn´t load i mages from many websites

2008-08-07 Thread Cylon
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I have been facing this problem since weeks , when I go to image.google.com and
search for something , I just get empty image holders and keep loading till
they timeout , same problem with many websites when I view same URL with
konqueror or opera , images load fine !
the workaround I use for ff3 to make it work is by using VPN connection or
loading the URL using a web proxy. clearing the cache doesn´t help much.

I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and FF 3.0.1 upgraded from within ubuntu.
