RE: [Bug 104968] Re: Amarok consumes 100% Processorpower
I have Compiz installed but I hardly ever have it running. I never had it running when that problem occured. But the problem has (magically) been fixed now. I had it when I used the beta release of Feisty Fawn (ubuntu) But after a kernel update it stopped happening. htmlDIV DIVnbsp;/DIV/DIV/html From: Andrew Ash [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: Bug 104968 [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Bug 104968] Re: Amarok consumes 100% Processorpower Date: Wed, 25 Apr 2007 19:14:59 - A possible link to this could be in bug 77164. It appears that using Amarok with compiz may have issues with intense cpu power requirements. Are you using any of those fancy desktop managers, like compiz or beryl? ** Changed in: amarok (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Andrew Ash -- Amarok consumes 100% Processorpower https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/104968 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. _ Who is the sweetheart of the Japanese and always holds something in his hands? RE: [Bug 104968] Re: Amarok consumes 100% Processorpower
Hi Kristian, Thank you for your reply. I will try to give you more information. It starts when I start Amarok. My system monitor goes straight up to 100% Altough in my processes list there isn't any program that consumes a lot of cpu power. Not even Amarok. Amarok starts with updating it's collection. I have one map that is in my collection. This map has many underlying maps but none of them are maps that are updated because of downloads applications or anything. They remain unchanged. As operating system I use Feisty Fawn, the beta version; It's only been since installing this I've been having this problem. It takes amarok about 50 seconds to update it's collection. Then after 13 seconds it starts again. While updating the cpu consumed goes up to 55 or 60 %. But my monitor remains pretty filled to 100%. I've tried to uncheck the Watch folders for change. But that doesn't solve the problem. I'm quite certain it's amarok because I've been able to get the same effects every time I run amarok. The strange thing is that when I quit Amarok my cpu power remains high. And it visibly slows my computer down. htmlDIV DIVnbsp;/DIV/DIV/html From: Kristian Hermansen [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: Bug 104968 [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Bug 104968] Re: Amarok consumes 100% Processorpower Date: Tue, 10 Apr 2007 04:44:03 - I am unable to reproduce this using amarok 1.4.5-0ubuntu7. [Bug 104968] Amarok consumes 100% Processorpower
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: amarok Amarok uses 100% of my processor power. This is only visible in the graphs. In the Processor list Amarok doesn't use a lot of Processor Power. It's always a low percentage. But the light on my computer blinks indicating my processor is constantly busy. Amarok also Updates it's collection every 20 seconds or so. [Bug 103463] Gnomebaker Playlist import problem
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnomebaker If I try to import a playlist *.m3u in Gnomebaker it automatically starts in a 21 minute Audio Project. The playlist is however +-70 minutes long and doesn't fit. Even if I change the project setting of the audio project to 74 minutes and do Import - Playlist it starts again in a new 21 minute project.
