[Bug 1890514] [NEW] The "find entries" search function does not find matching username

2020-08-05 Thread Dale B
Public bug reported:

When looking for a password to which one knows only the username,
entering the correct and full username in the "fund entries" does not
find the entry.

It appears the "username" field in the records is not looked for when
searching entries.

[Bug 909742] [NEW] GNOME bottom bar in Unity 3d ??

2011-12-29 Thread Dale B
Public bug reported:

A strange phenomenon has occured while beta testing Unity 3D on Precise.
The GNOME 2.(n) bottom bar has showed up out of nowhere and has enabled
a previously set function in Compiz (Wallpaper(cycle)). I chose xorg as
the possible culprit but it may be a Unity/Compiz problem. If so, then
defer this bug to Unity.

After reboot the Unity launcher wil loverlay the bottom bar and work
very well , however, if the bottom bar is clicked on or preferences are
changed then the bottom bar will overlay the Unity launcher.

[Bug 909742] Re: GNOME bottom bar in Unity 3d ??

2011-12-29 Thread Dale B
Please belay this bug report. This is a non-bug. I had erroneously made
this report while assuming I was working out of the Unity 3D DE, when,
in actuality, I was in GNOME CLASSIC.DE.

Thank you .
Kind regrads,

Ventrical.

[Bug 893247] Re: development release of software-center failed to open

2011-11-22 Thread Dale B
frum-ventrical

The Software Center is taking extremely large amounts of time and
resources on systems running legacy AGP video cards (ATI) with the new
Precise kernel 3.2.x.x and with Oneiric standard kernel in Unity 2D and
Cairo doc. However , this is not always the case as with the use of a
NVidia card or more recent higher end graphics card.

Even with a high end HDD the software Center will be very sluggish. It
appears that it is hooking with and parsing some catalog file that may
be a binary. Hence the inbuilt catalog reader may have a *wait* state
in that config file??

[Bug 887392] Re: development release of software-center fails to start

2011-11-08 Thread Dale B
no fix here as of yet. Ubuntu software center was working just fine
until I read the thread at Ubuntu Forums where some beta testers were
reporting Software Center Problems. I then updated through synaptic and
now my Software Center is disabled. Is this a waiting game for because
of high traffic on the repos?

[Bug 880679] Re: Opening ccsm Preferences immediately switches user from the unity profile to the Default profile

2011-11-05 Thread Dale B
Definitely this is a major bug that has affected all my Oneiric and
Precise installations. Even a lot of the ccsm plugins extras like
'wallpaper' are totally non-functional. Just after installing Oneiric
and downloading ccsm and trying to set up the plugins , an array of
anomolous screen jumpers takes place possibly leading the end_user to
assume that they have a bad .iso file, bad video card or there is
something terribly wrong with their PCs.

I tried to do some work on conf-editor but that format in
appsnautalispreferences is not a standard format to earlier versions
of Ubuntu - ie; maveric.lucid.
