[Bug 1784878] Re: Backlight Not Functional - Origin EVO 15-S (Clevo)
Updated to 4.19-rc7 (uname -r = `4.19.0-041900rc7-generic`) with 'Ubuntu Kernel Update Utility'. Without any boot parameters, brightness still doesn't function (but UI shows it changing). Are there any other things you want me to try on this kernel? Unfortunately a lot of other things seemed to break on this kernel, including Nvidia modules, which didn't seem to compile. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784878 Title: Backlight Not Functional - Origin EVO 15-S (Clevo) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1784878/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 584551] Re: Eclipse crashes randomly with JRE error
Thanks Alex. I believe that fixed the issue for me as well. It appears it must have been an issue with the older version of OpenJDK, and this new release has somehow resolved it. On Wed, Sep 8, 2010 at 3:08 PM, Alex Little 584...@bugs.launchpad.netwrote: I was getting the same problem - Eclipse seemingly randomly crashing - and it was getting extremely frustrating - it would generally happen within 5 to 10 mins of Eclipse starting, but could also be after only a few seconds or half an hour. But I recently installed the icedtea6-plugin package and the problem no longer occurs. Thank you for confirming the bug. Does your computer lock-up or enter kernel panic everytime you are copying to/from a USB driver or network share? Basically, is there a way to reproduce this bug? [Bug 517509] Re: I cannot download from the firefox browser.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Many bugs in Firefox are due to third party themes, extensions, etc. Please try recreating this bug using a different profile. Procedure follows: Start Firefox by entering the following command is a terminal: firefox -ProfileManager. You should now see the Profile Manager window. Important note: From the Profile Manager you are also able to remove and rename profiles. Be very careful when deleting profiles, if you created the profile in a directory that already existed, the entire directory will be removed! Click on the 'Create Profile...' button to start the 'Create Profile Wizard'. Click 'Next' and enter a descriptive name for the new profile. Click Finish to have Firefox create the new profile. You should now be taken back to the Profile Manager and the newly created profile should be listed. Select it and click 'Start Firefox'. Try to reproduce the bug with this new profile. Note: you can go back to your own profile by starting Firefox using the command firefox -ProfileManager again, selecting your own profile, and clicking on 'Start Firefox'. ** Changed in: firefox-3.5 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- I cannot download from the firefox browser. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/517509 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
