[Bug 818792] [NEW] Incorrect mouse position in Wine Applications and Unity fullscreen mode

2011-07-31 Thread Daniel Bystrov
Public bug reported:

1) Start e.g. Picasa as a Wine application
2) Switch to Unity fullscreen mode (combined title bar and upper bar of window
manager)
3) If you press a button in the application (e.g. picasa) you have to position
the mouse cursor below the button (shifted by the size of the window manager
menu bar)

[Bug 579292] [NEW] Switch of user causes display problems

2010-05-12 Thread Daniel Bystrov
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

When I updated the system from 9.2 to 10.04 the colours of the X11
Display were very strange - very yellow. I suspected the error in the
file xorg.conf and changed the default from 32 bits to 24 bits. After
that the display looked correct. When I switch a user from a running
session (gnome) to another user, gdm showed me a tiled window with four
quarters and only the upper left was correct. Then I experimented with
options for the display sections in the file xorg.conf and now the first
switch of a user somehow works. But if I switch back to the first user
the screen is nearly black. I clearly can see the mouse pointer and
suspect that everything else, except the display works.

Finally I decided to install a new Ubuntu system (no update) on the same
computer but here the first user switch does not work.
The lower part shows Ubuntu and there is no gdm window to log in.

[Bug 566033] [NEW] Message Starting up and nothing happens for about 30 secs

2010-04-18 Thread Daniel Bystrov
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub

When I start lucid lynx with Grub a message Starting up apears for
about 30 seconds and nothing happens (no disk activity). I am not sure,
whether Grub is the problem but maybe you could look in the dmesg file
and you could direct me to the right package ... or you maybe know the
solution or the problem ... ?

Thanks in advance

Daniel

PS: Beside these little bugs, I am really impressed from Ubuntu 10.04:
great work!
