[Bug 879281] Re: Default browser settings not honored
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 794720 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/794720 Modifying these files doesn't seem like a very good solution. The XFCE4 preferences infrastructure settings set by the user still are not respected. If I want to switch back to Firefox (or some other browser), I have to modify these package managed files. This is much less than ideal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/879281 Title: Default browser settings not honored To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4/+bug/879281/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 821170] Re: xfce4-power-manager fails to start (receives X window system error BadName)
I'm not recommending that you do the same, but I just installed packages built for precise on my oneiric box from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/precise/+source/xfce4-power-manager. They seem to be working fine, but I will definitely uninstall and reinstall packages specific to oneiric if/when they become available. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/821170 Title: xfce4-power-manager fails to start (receives X window system error BadName) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/821170/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 131321] Re: distmp3host fails to start on i386
This problem is a result of /var/run/distmp3 not being created at runtime as noted in this upstream report: http://lintian.debian.org/tags /dir-or-file-in-var-run.html This issue is many releases old. Can we just submit a non-maintainer fix for this to get distmp3 functional again? -- distmp3host fails to start on i386 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131321 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 301097] Re: Dimming on X41 Thinkpad Broken under 8.10 Intrepid
I arrived here from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/306248 which more accurately describes the problem I am experiencing (despide the misspelling). Anyhow, the screen gradually goes to (presumably) its dimmest setting over a short amount of time (less than a minute or so). I'm on a Dell Latitude D410. [Bug 66637] Re: After running mkswap, swap space is discarded, system fails to hibernate (invalid swap signature)
After completing the fix listed at http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Installing_Ubuntu_7.04_on_a_ThinkPad_T43#Swap_and_Hibernation_problem, which is essentially the same as what's listed above, hibernation is working fine for me, and swap is enabled on boot, however swapon -s is listing an entry for both /dev/sda2 and /dev/mapper/sda2, and free -m shows double the amount swap space that it should. This seems like something to me like something to be concerned about, but I'd like to get the opinion of someone more with a more thorough understanding of these issues. Note that this is mentioned above (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/66637/comments/30) by Crakie, but no one commented on the appearance of double the swap size. -- After running mkswap, swap space is discarded, system fails to hibernate (invalid swap signature) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/66637 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 63479] Re: edgy - ssh client freeze
This bug is related to #105818 and #91116. Here's the fix that worked for me: Preface: Seahorse does not work with gpg-agent (see http://live.gnome.org/Seahorse/SessionIntegration). The behavior that I observed is exactly the same as what others have mentioned in this ticket and in #105818. Seahorse provides ssh-agent functionality for one authentication, then it dies, hence the [seahorse-agent] defunct. I took a guess that maybe Seahorse was dying on my machine because I also had gnupg-agent installed, as I was using it in 6.06 before upgrading to Feisty. Removing gnupg-agent (don't worry, Seahorse provides equivalent functionality) and logging out and logging back in corrected the issues for me. I'm interested in hearing whether this fixes the issue for other people. -- edgy - ssh client freeze https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/63479 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
