Regression: Visual new email notification no longer
Same problem as many people here...
The update popup is an inelegant solution. Like blimblam I have wasted
several hours trying to bring back the old behaviour from Xubuntu 12.04
LTS, of an icon in the notification area.
There are must be at least configurable option to keep notification area

time with the message you don't need that many fonts, sorry. This
occurs when Conky try to use more than 256 fonts (see fonts.c line 73).
Except if you really use more than 256 fonts, this is a bug occurs

Something strange occured yesterday with the patched version supplied by
Daniel... Plugin systematically crash at startup (on two different PC).
Today it works fine with no change...
