It is possible that mdadm isn't faulty -- I have similar problems with
my root partition (JFS) since upgrade to hardy. I didn't originally
report it, because I was using fairly broken system and non-standart
suspend method (uswsusp), but now happened the same with intrepid.

I had the same problem with sun-java6-jre today until I manually added
symlink to /etc/alternatives/firefox-javaplugin.so in /usr/lib
/xulrunner-addons/plugins.

Confirming here with slight difference: firefox moves to actual desktop
stealing focus of app, where one clicked the link. This is really
annoying, and WM should prevent it, so I'm setting "also affects" to
metacity.

I think it's neither aptitude's nor linux's bug. There are certain
actions, which can be run just at the end of apt's actions (update-grub,
scrollkeeper-update and maybe others), but there's no way to tell apt to
do this, so packager have tu run such action during "setting up" stage
of package.
