[Bug 930563] Re: NM Applet menu entries not responding

2013-04-22 Thread DavidW617
@Zoubidoo: If you look at bug #845660, you will see that it was filed
even longer ago with a fix released that did nothing.

This bug is still present in the latest 13.04 beta that I am running.

Me too. It has been over a year now where I have had to kill nm-applet
at least once a week.

ALSA information is here: http://www.alsa-

In the last week or two my speakers stopped showing up in the sound
settings output section. This has happened before but I used to just
plugin headphones and the unplug the headphones a few times and then the
speakers would start working again. Now nothing I do will get my
speakers working again.

I tried the solution to bug 946232 but that did not work.

2012-05-30 Thread DavidW617
The proposed solution is not working for me. My analog-output-
speaker.conf can be found here: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1015875/ (I'm
not sure if I did it right. I am unable to use my laptop speakers.

My alsa information can be found here: http://www.alsa-

Should I open a new bug about my problem?

[Bug 925287] [NEW] intel ich7 sound comes out of internal speaker and headphones simultaneously

2012-02-01 Thread DavidW617
Public bug reported:

The latest update causes sound to play through both connected speakers /
headphones and the internal speaker. No amount of playing with the gnome
sound control tool causes the sound to come out of only one device.

Playing with alsamixer, I came up with a setting that works. I have
attached two screenshots (good.png and bad.png) to show two different
alsamixer configurations. The good is what I currently have and the bad
is what happens if I bump the volume button on my keyboard. The bad.png
demonstrates sound coming very loudly out of both the internal speaker
and the headphones at the same time.

Please note that the reason that it comes out very loudly is likely
related to bug: 149622 which was also a problem in 11.10. I am hoping
that I can help get to the bottom of both of these bugs during this
testing period.

[Bug 829051] Re: paprefs cannot configure pulseaudio network settings

2011-12-13 Thread DavidW617
Still broken in Ubuntu 12.04 with pulseaudio 1.1

The updated workaround for Ubuntu 12.04 is: `sudo ln -s
/usr/lib/pulse-1.1 /usr/lib/pulse-1.1.0`

I am still getting this bug. Where is the code that fixes this? Can
someone recommend to me an interface builder that does not crash all the
time?
