[Bug 1830744] Re: Stuck in 1024x768 resolution. Modeset can't detect VGA EDID on Ivybridge.
Daniel & Launchpad Janitor, Thanks for your response. I am using HP workstation and checking drivers & changing display options doesn't solved the issue. When I installed Manjaro using different hard SSD it gave me proper resolution. Then I updated from 18.04 to 19.04, using updater option. It went to 18.10 first and then 19.04 & That solved the issue and now I am getting full resolution. Thanks for your support and response. [Bug 1459143] [NEW] Complete system freeze upon switching WiFi networks
Public bug reported: Occasionally when I am manually switching from one WiFi network to another through the Indicator applet, the entire system freezes completely—neither the laptop's own keyboard and trackpad nor any USB devices produce any effect. The only way to resolve the situation is then to force a power down, which has caused me to lose data on several occasions. This started occurring on Xubuntu 15.04; I have not had any similar bugs on previous iterations of Xubuntu or other Ubuntu variants. It seems to happen when I am switching from an unsecured to a particular WPA-secured WiFi network, though as it happens only once in a while (about once every two days or so under moderate computer use) I am not sure about the source of the issue. I do know that it seems to happen only while switching WiFi networks. This is one of two new network-manager bugs that I noticed around the same time, immediately after upgrading to 15.04. [Bug 1159836] [NEW] Calibre Disconnects USB Modem
Public bug reported: I've been having this problem since a couple of days. I use my phone (Nokia N8) as a usb modem to connect to internet from my pc. However, if I start calibre while connected, my internet connection terminates and the phone modem stops responding afterwards. It needs a full pc reboot (and if I force-stopped calibre while it was communicating to the device, a full phone reboot) for the net connection to work again. Calibre version - 0.9.23 OS version - Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS The main clue I have is in dmesg: [ 1114.811190] usb 1-5: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 15 [ 1114.941755] usb 1-5: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 1114.942979] cdc_acm 1-5:1.1: ttyACM0: USB ACM device [ 1114.944308] cdc_acm 1-5:1.3: ttyACM1: USB ACM device [ 1116.731090] usb 1-5: usbfs: process 4192 (calibre) did not claim interface 0 before use This line always comes up. [Bug 454638] [NEW] kernel 2.6.31-14-generic X session freeze after login
Public bug reported: This is tested on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala (beta), Xubuntu and Kubuntu. It happens right after install, after all updates are applied. Machine restarts and after successfull login after 10-60 seconds X session locks up. Mouse pointer remains active, it's not possible to switch to other tty with CTRL+ALT+F1... I am able to kill X session with right ALT+SYS RQ+K - it dies but session is not repawning. Only way to restart is to power off the machine. When loading previous kernel (2.6.31-11), wich came in beta installation CD, everything is fine. Xorg logfile gives errors about i810 module (wich is not found). It's impossible to report this error right on crash, but I'm pretty sure, it's the problem with built in Intel video adapter and the driver module in this kernel. Tried to reinstall xorg intel driver, problem remains. Please see attached log files for more information on this. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kernel 2.6.31-14-generic X session freeze after login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/454638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Public bug reported: Recently upgraded to Gutsy with Gnome 2.20.0. Everything's fine except one thing - minimum and maximum window list size on panel. Yes, there is. But unfortunatelly this feature is not compatible with this new version of Gnome :P. I know, that it's allready reported. I resubmitted it, because there are no working solutions since 2005 yet. [Bug 135237] Evolution 2.10.1 produces: Error while Storing folder 'Inbox'. Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Allready tried all possible solutions (removing index files, exporting and importing mails from mbox format), but no luck to get rid of this annoying error. There are lots of people getting this error for a long time, but no working solutions so far... Also after deleting index file, all messages, wich are flaged as important, loses their flags and read/unread status. Also these duplicate mails, when this error happens. Imagine what is going on on a folder with 3k or more mail messages. Maybe the problem is in Evolution startup while messages index check (or index rewriting), when at the same moment new mails are arriving and therefore not having proper access to message index (mail counts and status in Inbox by example). I have noticed, that this bug appears mostly when Evolution is started and there is a new mail on server to download. I think so, because it never happened to any other folder (at least for me). There are new version of Evolution (2.10.2), but it's available only on Gutsy at the moment (I have Feisty Fawn 7.04). Maybe this bug is fixed there, don't know. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: B B Status: New ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = B B -- Evolution 2.10.1 produces: Error while Storing folder 'Inbox'.
