[Bug 200671] Re: I want a font like Fixedsys
I'm happy to know that helped. I'm using FontForge. I see the name field that I missed updating. My Linux system didn't seem to be bothered by it. Thanks for letting me know your results and what worked. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200671 Title: I want a font like Fixedsys To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/200671/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 200671] Re: I want a font like Fixedsys
Jesko, this TTF file is the same as what I uploaded in 2009, but it is set as being bold. If you have both this and the one above (from 2009-05-01) installed, this one, which is visually identical, should automatically get used for the bold weight. ** Attachment added: "a Fixedsys Excelsior TTF set as "Bold"" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/200671/+attachment/5311279/+files/FSEX301-L2-Bold.ttf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200671 Title: I want a font like Fixedsys To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/200671/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 862430] Re: window flicker for a short time after switching workspaces
The ppa:vanvugt/compiz-preproposed fixes this bug for me, but I also get the regression of windows turning all white. It is not always strictly the unfocused windows, although that is the most common thing. Sometimes some of the unfocused windows can be normal, and sometimes the focused window can be white. Moving quickly among the windows can get the less common mixture. Or if I change the theme in Appearance then all of the windows are redrawn correctly (at that moment). The condition generally toggles for each window when it is focused, so if an unfocused window is not white, for example after changing the theme, then when it gets the focus, it turns white. When the focused window is white, it is NOT fixed by clicking on it or moving it or minimizing and unminimizing it, but I can always fix it by resizing it. This is on an Nvidia GeForce 6200. I tried different monitor configurations without any change in the behavior. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/862430 Title: window flicker for a short time after switching workspaces To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/862430/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 42947] Re: postfix: fatal: /etc/postfix/postfix-script: No such file or directory
I just ran into this on a fresh install of 11.04. I think it may be because in the installation of postfix I selected "No configuration" from the configuration menu. Previously, doing the identical installation and selecting "Local only" I didn't get the error. And after removing and reinstalling postfix (as shown above), but this time selecting "Local only", I no longer get the error. I think "No configuration" is just not a good choice, because then the lack of a configuration produces errors. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/42947 Title: postfix: fatal: /etc/postfix/postfix-script: No such file or directory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfix/+bug/42947/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 413360] Re: Pango text select with double click stops at underscore.
Thanks, James. I've enjoyed using it just while writing it, and I'm still experimenting with different configurations for my own use. I will be putting up a new version sometime soon that let's you associate configurations with code languages. For example, I currently have my quintuple-click set to select a Python function, but on any other kind of code I would want that to select something else. Thanks for the plugin recommendation. I've been using a similar plugin called Tag Browser, but I just tried out Class Browser, and it does seem to be just a little better. Tag Browser doesn't show attributes in the tree, for one thing. [Bug 261716] Re: window list goes blank with compiz
This happens to me. It happens sporadically all day. I haven't been able to identify a surefire method of reproducing it, though rotating the cube quickly between two cube faces can usually get it to happen. Other non-cube-related things trigger it too, seemingly anything that changes the window list. A reliable recovery, i.e. to get the labels to reappear, has been to right-click to the panel's properties dialog and just click Close. It does seem to be a timing issue with the window labels being slow to appear. Maybe something that is waiting for them gives up. I'm on 8.04, but unfortunately I see it's still happening in 8.10 and 9.04. -- window list goes blank with compiz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261716 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 200671] Re: I want a font like Fixedsys
I'm glad to help. In Firefox I set the monospace font to "Fixedsys Excelsior 3.01-L2" at 16pt. Firefox for some reason shrinks the fonts from these settings so that that ends up as 12pt. Also, I put this rule in ~/.mozilla/firefox/[profile_code].default/chrome/userContent.css: tt, code, pre { font: 12pt monospace !important; } To prevent bold, you could add this line to that rule: font-weight: normal !important; In Windows XP that file is in [drive]:/Documents and Settings/[user_name]/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/[profile_code].default/chrome/userContent.css -- I want a font like Fixedsys https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200671 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 122420] Re: do not display LATIN CAPITAL LETTER A (font Fixedsys Excelsior)
The problem with the posted solution to this bug is that Fixedsys Excelsior really needs to be viewed at 12-point (its native bitmap resolution) to look good. It generally appears blurry at other sizes. Attached is a copy of Fixedsys Excelsior 3.01 that I have modified slightly so that it can be used at 12-point under Linux.
