Yeah, I tried that already (ok simplified i just did 'sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libmlt.so.0.4.10 /usr/lib/libmlt++.so.2' but it's much of a muchness. This makes ldd happy ldd /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/_mlt.so linux-vdso.so.1 = (0x787ff000) libmlt++.so.2 =

This really is an unloved package. I find it strange that a package which may be the only route to the net on Ubuntu is so often ignored. I've had problems with every Ubuntu version from Edgy on. Unusually using debian unstable source is not the solution as the same problems exist upstream. A fix
