[Bug 566297] Re: Panel colors should match rest of New Wave theme
I have to say that New Wave is a theme that is almost 2 years old (version 0.3 is the first public one [1]) and Radiance is based on parts of it and parts of dust. My design vision is that the panel should be darker then the rest (or the window's top (menubar+titlebar) should be lighter than the panel to say it the other way) unlike dust which used very dark window's top. That's really strange. Unfortunately I'm in summer break now and I don't have Ubuntu pc near me. Sorry I can't test. It worked with me before. Hi guys, I come to see this bug just today. Unfortunately I don't have a Ubuntu near me (summer break) and won't be able to fix this till late September. I would just appreciate if somebody can tell me the match for that icon view widget. I have made the focus for the treeviews but I have missed this. [Bug 160311] Re: Resizing windows by grabbing window borders is difficult
I see that this is the only solution but that will harm a lot of themes including mine that has created the window border design for one pixel width. The only winners would be the very generic themes that nobody wants to use anymore, imo. I suspect all the new changes will come in Mutter and Gnome 3.0 so we should not expect much in the upcoming year about fixing this right now. -- Resizing windows by grabbing window borders is difficult https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/160311 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 160311] Re: Resizing windows by grabbing window borders is difficult
Just my opinion: The borders should not be modified in the metacity xml file so that you could resize properly. We should not change the designers idea of theme and make it look ugly by making borders from 1px to 5-6px. We could not ask the Average Joe to do this by himself. He just wants to use his PC not configure it one week. The best ideas so far are: * making a transparent area that would ease users of large screens (Is it possible Thomas?) * make the pointer snap to the border We could even combine these two and the result would be perfect. -- Resizing windows by grabbing window borders is difficult https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/160311 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

OK. I guess I'll have to think of a way to make a sharp progressbar with a small stretched image in order to allow you to work with eclipse and notes. I realize 50% of CPU power is a bit more for drawing but the pixmap engine is getting old and it could further be optimized for less CPU usage and even GPU usage only. [Bug 334991] Re: Eclipse takes 100% CPU with New Wave theme
Well let's revisit the bug: - eclipse does not work with compact setting - Notes does not work with these settings too. So we might try to not apply the compact styles used in New Wave and see what happens. Here's how we do it: 1. Find the line in your New Wave gtkrc file (~/.themes/ or /usr/share/themes/): widget *swt*toolbar* style:highest newwave-toolbar-noimage-small 2. Comment it out like that: # widget *swt*toolbar*style:highest newwave-toolbar-noimage-small 3.Save the gtkrc ile and reset the theme from the Appearance manager Is there any difference? Maybe the match *swt*toolbar* is not correct. Try to remove the star at the end to apply to the toolbar only not the widgets in it: *swt*toolbar . [Bug 335496] Re: Menus in Firefox and Thunderbird are dark in the New Wave theme
I'm attaching the latest FF theme. It has some more improvements in the identyty notifications as well as the bookmarks organizer. I hope it will help a lot of ppl to fix their issues with FF. ** Attachment added: newwave-FF-02.jar http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24416690/newwave-FF-02.jar -- Menus in Firefox and Thunderbird are dark in the New Wave theme https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335496 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 335496] Re: Menus in Firefox and Thunderbird are dark in the New Wave theme
Your bookmarks toolbars are dark because they are not intended to be placed in the menubar but in the area below the addressbar that is light. I can't create (or at least don't know how) dynamic toolbar that changes color depending on backgrounds. As for now most ppl use the second method I will keep this version as current. -- Menus in Firefox and Thunderbird are dark in the New Wave theme https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335496 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 347691] Re: New Wave Theme Breaks BookMark Tool in FF
As noted in bug this is an issue of incorrect theme applying form the side of FF. I'm currently making a theme that fixes this (still not final and a lot of work is going to be done to make the theme look equivalent to the quality of New Wave). See screenshot. Btw would it be possible this theme to be installed to Ubuntu too? ** Attachment added: Screenshot.png http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24301561/Screenshot.png -- New Wave Theme Breaks BookMark Tool in FF https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/347691 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
