[Bug 1391775] [NEW] SSH_AUTH_SOCK and GPG_AGENT_INFO unset

2014-11-12 Thread Dmitry Kasatkin
Public bug reported:

I use

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release:14.04
Codename: trusty

After some of the recent updates when using from terminal ssh or gpg started to
ask key passphrase.
I noticed that SSH_AUTH_SOCK and GPG_AGENT_INFO are unset.
After playing around I found out that they are only unset when launching
terminal using Alt-F2.
If using Dash (Super), then it is fine..

env dump attached for both cases. you can see that env-alt-f2.txt has no
SSH_AUTH_SOCK or GPG_AGENT_INFO set.

Bad one has JOB=xsession-init.
Good one has JOB=dbus.

I am not sure if the problem of gnome-keyring..

[Bug 1073433] Re: Ext4 corruption associated with shutdown of Ubuntu 12.10

2013-09-03 Thread Dmitry Kasatkin
I have the same problem on 13.04, which is solved by 2 steps (as mentioned
above):
1) uninstalling ureadahead or adding console none to
/etc/init/ureadahead-other.conf
2) killing dhclient in umountfs.

Indeed, why it has not been fixed for years

2011-08-25 Thread Dmitry Kasatkin
I have also problems with 2.6.38-11-generic-pae with external monitor
via HDMI on my DELL E6120 laptop.

It has following display adapter:
--
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core
Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA
controller])
Subsystem: Dell Device 0493
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 42
Memory at e140 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4M]
Memory at d000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
I/O ports at 4000 [size=64]
Expansion ROM at unassigned [disabled]
Capabilities: access denied
Kernel driver in use: i915
Kernel modules: i915

Step leading to the problem:
1. Boot laptop normally with HDMI monitor connected - HDMI monitor goes on
2. Login to the Gnome - HDMI monitor is still on
3. Now I try to switch primary display to hdmi monitor with xrandr:
xrandr --output HDMI1 --left-of LVDS1 --auto --primary

With older kernels everything goes fine.
But with 2.6.38-11-generic-pae it shuts monitor...
It goes to standby mode and says that no signal...

[Bug 833547] Re: xrandr shuts down external HDMI display

2011-08-25 Thread Dmitry Kasatkin
Little bit more clarification.

When system boots, I can see console on external display.
But when X starts, external display goes to standby

With older kernel everything was fine.
xrandr does not here in anyway

If I go to console with Ctrl-Alt-F1, it will not help...

When I do logout, then external display goes up and shows.
But if I login again, then it goes standby again...

[Bug 801346] [NEW] Firefox uses Socks proxy from Gnome network proxy

2011-06-23 Thread Dmitry Kasatkin
Public bug reported:

1)

Description:Ubuntu 11.04
Release:11.04

2)
firefox:
  Installed: 5.0+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.2
  Candidate: 5.0+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.2
  Version table:
 *** 5.0+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.11.04.2 0
500 http://fi.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates/main i386
Packages
500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-security/main i386 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
 4.0+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 0
500 http://fi.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages

3)
Gnome Network Proxy has different settings for HTTP/HTTPS and SOCKS proxies.
And Firefox proxy settings are set to use System proxy settings.

While browsing, Firefox must use HTTP/HTTPS proxy.

4)
Firefox actually uses SOCKS proxy, instead of HTTP/HTTPS.

NB... If using those proxy settings in Firefox itself, it uses HTTP/HTTPS...
I guess, it must use HTTP also from System settings as well...

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
