[Bug 1882279] [NEW] PHP Performs Much Better Than This Package When Built From Source
Public bug reported: When you compare the performance of PHP installed using this package with PHP built from source (as it is in the official PHP Docker image) there is a pretty substantial performance difference. [Bug 1080701] Re: After 'Preparing to install Ubuntu' screen, raring installation hangs
Another me too! for this bug. Some details on my partition setup that may be relevant is that my windows partition has had an ntfs error on it for about a month or so. I haven't needed to boot into Windows lately :-D but I still need the data. I have installed both openSUSE 12.3 Fedora 17 without any issues on the same system. It looks like the partman program is telling ubiquity about the ntfs error and ubiquity has no idea what to make of it so it just runs partman over and over again. This all happens in the background with no indication to the end user or a timeout error. There should definitly be a timeout implemented because casual users wont know where to look to see what's happeneing. I will attach the few logs I have. Hopefully it is helpful. Keep up the good work! ;) ** Attachment added: LOGS https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/raring/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1080701/+attachment/3633049/+files/LOGS -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to ubiquity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1080701 Title: After 'Preparing to install Ubuntu' screen, raring installation hangs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1080701/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1053749] Re: UnicodeDecodeError from broken package descriptions
I am also experiencing this issue on a Mint Linux 14 Cinnamon. I tried finding invalid characters in the files listed but there were none. I saved each file with gedit which did not help. I did have davmail installed for a day, but I uninstalled it before this error started. software-properties-gtk --debug Fontconfig warning: /etc/fonts/conf.d/50-user.conf, line 9: reading configurations from ~/.fonts.conf is deprecated. gpg: /tmp/tmpoqfkhc/trustdb.gpg: trustdb created ENABLED COMPS: {'import', 'main', 'backport', 'upstream'} INTERNET COMPS: {'import', 'main', 'backport', 'upstream'} MAIN SOURCES URI: http://packages.linuxmint.com/ Comps: ['main', 'upstream', 'import', 'backport'] Enabled: True Valid: True MatchURI: packages.linuxmint.com BaseURI: http://packages.linuxmint.com/ CHILD SOURCES CDROM SOURCES SOURCE CODE SOURCES DISABLED SOURCES ISV Traceback (most recent call last): File /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/UbuntuDrivers/detect.py, line 162, in packages_for_modalias cache_map = packages_for_modalias.cache_maps[apt_cache_hash] KeyError: 3953453 During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred: Traceback (most recent call last): File /usr/bin/software-properties-gtk, line 103, in module app = SoftwarePropertiesGtk(datadir=options.data_dir, options=options, file=file) File /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/softwareproperties/gtk/SoftwarePropertiesGtk.py, line 178, in __init__ self.init_drivers() File /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/softwareproperties/gtk/SoftwarePropertiesGtk.py, line 1097, in init_drivers self.devices = detect.system_device_drivers() File /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/UbuntuDrivers/detect.py, line 415, in system_device_drivers for pkg, pkginfo in system_driver_packages(apt_cache).items(): File /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/UbuntuDrivers/detect.py, line 319, in system_driver_packages for p in packages_for_modalias(apt_cache, alias): File /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/UbuntuDrivers/detect.py, line 164, in packages_for_modalias cache_map = _apt_cache_modalias_map(apt_cache) File /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/UbuntuDrivers/detect.py, line 129, in _apt_cache_modalias_map m = package.candidate.record['Modaliases'] File /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/apt/package.py, line 429, in record return Record(self._records.record) UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0xeb in position 74: invalid continuation byte -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1053749 Title: UnicodeDecodeError from broken package descriptions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpkg/+bug/1053749/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
