[Bug 1962225] Re: preinst check that kernel revision < 255 now does more harm than good
Are there any suggested workarounds in the meantime? This started happening after the libc6-dev package (and its dependants: libc-dev-bin, libc6) were upgraded from 2.31-0ubuntu9.2 to 2.31-0ubuntu9.7. I'm running on AWS CodeBuild (so amd64 arch). I tried installing the older version but it's not available. [Bug 884745] Re: crash when a note or new reputation is there
Yes, it seems that pynotify.init('...') needs to be called before interaction with the notification system can take place. I discovered this the other day and I will get this fixed as soon as possible. ** Changed in: stackapplet Importance: Undecided = High ** Changed in: stackapplet Status: Incomplete = In Progress ** Changed in: stackapplet Assignee: (unassigned) = George Edison (george-edison55) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884745 Title: crash when a note or new reputation is there To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/stackapplet/+bug/884745/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 884745] Re: crash when a note or new reputation is there
I have committed a fix for this that should solve the problem of StackApplet crashing when a notification comes in. You should see an update for StackApplet within a day or two containing the fix (if you've installed it from the PPA). ** Changed in: stackapplet Status: In Progress = Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/884745 Title: crash when a note or new reputation is there To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/stackapplet/+bug/884745/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 824175] Re: stackapplet not installable in ubuntu 11.10
I don't think StackApplet is using gnome-python-desktop at all. Perhaps the dependency was carried over from back when StackApplet was a Gnome panel applet. [Bug 787946] [NEW] Unity ignores application's attempt to disable menu item.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unity No clue if this is the right place to file this bug, but it does seem to be limited to Unity. I have an application that creates a menu. There is a menu item in the menu that frequently gets enabled / disabled. When the application enables the menu item, everything works fine. However, disabling the menu item isn't working. This seems to be limited to Unity since it works in the Classic session. Here is a simple Qt source file that demonstrates the problem: http://pastebin.com/DF9CHps5 To compile this brief demo: 1. Make sure that the Qt development files are installed. 2. Create a new folder and stick the code in 'main.cpp' 3. Create another file in that folder named 'demo.pro' and put this in it: http://pastebin.com/Z7GRFW8t 4. Open a terminal in that directory and run 'qmake demo.pro ; make' 5. You can then run the demo with './demo' The expected behavior is that the menu item's state matches that of the checkbox. However, this does not seem to be the case on Unity - although the menu item enables itself when the checkbox is checked, it fails to disable itself when the checkbox is unchecked. I found libvirt doesn't create its own cgroup under /mnt/cgroup/cpu, or /mnt/cgroup/sysdefault, instead of /mnt/cgroup/cpu/virt After some tests, the root cause is libvirtd is started earlier than cgred. On lucid, libvirt-bin is started by upstart, while cgred is started by sys-V init script. How can I specify the dependency between the two? Apparently, libvirt-bin should be started after cgred. Right now, I add the following hack in /etc/init/libvirt-bin.conf: pre-start script mkdir -p /var/run/libvirt # Clean up a pidfile that might be left around rm -f /var/run/libvirtd.pid while [ 1 ] do if [ -f /var/run/cgred.pid ] then break else sleep 1 fi done end script Then libvirt works with cgroup again. ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- libvirt failed to start vm: internal error Unable to find cgroup for https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/577264 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
