Here's some updated info on the "compiz crash" bug:
1- the "crash" only occurs in amd64 systems (in i386 I am able to successfully
dist-upgrade)
2- it is not a "compiz crash". Xserver stops because it receives the SIGKILL
signal => compiz, metacity and other wm stop as a consequence of that
just noticed that steve already wrote about sigkill etc :) sorry for the

follows: instead of clipping polygons in view space I discard the pixels that
would be clipped by the planes in the fragment shader. The shaders have been

I still have this problem on my desktop and I didn't see any fixes being
commited. If you know that someone has fixed it for sure please link the
related branch. In any other case, please don't change the status from
"Confirmed" since this bug affects many users and it's in our priority
list.

This is not a bug. The same problem occurs in every DE because opencv's
imshow gives the windows the same default position. If you use
cv::moveWindow you can change the window position in imshow... If you
think this shouldn't happen you should fill a bug report in python-
opencv.
