I can confirm this, too. Running glxgears yelds ~1200 FPS in 5 seconds.

It seems that removing ~/Desktop/, going to GDM, logging in (now GNOME
uses ~ as Desktop folder), recreating Desktop won't do the trick. User
will still end up with visual clutter and no easy way to go back.
There's a file in ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs
But there's no easy way to revert changes. 'For human beings' is
Ubuntu's tagline. Don't delete it would be OK if ~/Desktop/ was some
super-protected meta-directory. You can see it browsing your home. You
can delete it. There's no warning and there's no coming back.

it was caused by some API change in XOrg-core package, because it was in
today updates. Now I'm running:

OK, neither OLD_PASSWORD nor PASSWORD didn't produce good results. My
mysql.user for debian-sys-maint looks not like this:

After I changed that to plain text password that matches mysql.user
.debian-sys-maint it works again. Lets see if it will process dist-
upgrade.
Ho hum! It seems that after all my mysql.user Password field was
different from /etc/mysql/debian.cnf. I've updated password string.

I can confirm that. It seems as it's not just ghosting problem. Plugins

Can I write patch for that? Or is someone working on it? Not that I'm
super-duper-l337 with C, but this seems to be trivial and elinks already
points out some errors in configuration, so I guess even I can provide
such patch.

be larger problem. From what I gather, Pidgin talks with Network Manager
and tune some status informations and actions according to it. It cause
me no problems while I hand from wired or wireless

As I currently run Gutsy my Gnome and Xfce DE are getting unstable at
times. When they are unusable, I fall back to ION3 as my WM. ION3 uses
different approach in dealing with windows and makes every application
window open in full width and height. After using Piding in ION3
This is minmal width I can get with Piding for now.

At first, I blamed by ATI card, but after I've changed it, problem was
still there. After two days of cursing and kicking and screaming I've

indicate encoding process, cancel button is selected. This may lead to
clicking it by accident. This button should not have focus. I just
stopped it twice from saving my video due not-so-careful alt-tabbing.

look.
