[Bug 1876398] Re: Akonadi Console Launch: Failed to connect to database: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/run/user/1000/akonadi/mysql.socket' (2) QMYSQL: Unable to connect

2020-07-05 Thread Encolpe Degoute
This bug last for years around akonadictl.
What seems to happen: the mysql crash partialy letting a mysqld-ak process
locking the $HOME/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ibdata1 file. I don't know why
but other files seem to block the restart.

So:
1. Verify that the akonadictl is stopped
2. Kill the mysqld-ak process
3. Cleanup files
4. Restart akonadictl

akonadictl stop #Optional
cd $HOME/.local/share/akonadi/db_data
kill $(lsof $HOME/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ibdata1 | cut -d ' ' -f 2)
rm mysql.err* multi-master.info ib_logfile* aria_log*
akonadictl --verbose start

This not fix the upstream bug that crash the mysqld service.

In some extrem case I remove the $HOME/.local/share/akonadi/db_data folder.
You will loose your IMAP cache but not your account configuration.

Remove dnsmasq is not an option when you are using lxd/lxc.
You may reassign this bug to dnsmasq.

A temporary solution can be to append your nameserver in

2015-11-11 Thread Encolpe Degoute
I finally fix the bug after more investigations:

1. lvm2 was uninstalled during the 15.04 to 15.10 migration. It creates

3. After a first reinstallation of dmsetup, the 55-dm.rules was not
present in the initramfs. I need to reinstall it a second time.

This laptop follow all ubuntu migration since 13.10, and that's the
second time lvm2 package is removed during migration. Both lvm2 depends
on dmsetup but cryptsetup doesn't depend on or recommend lvm2.

So for me it's closed.

Thank again TJ.

[Bug 1513415] [NEW] cryptsetup blocks between mountroot and bottom in initramfs

2015-11-05 Thread Encolpe Degoute
Public bug reported:

Hello,

Ubuntu 15.10
cryptsetup 2:1.6.6-5ubuntu2

First, I post a question here without any success:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/693950/impossible-to-boot-on-encrypted-root-partition-after-15-10-upgrade

With the help of TJ- on IRC, I got more information but no solution.
This configuration was working since the 14.04 installation.

The boot sequence is stopped during the initramfs process whitin the
/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-top/cryptroot script, between
the instant when the good password is validated and the initramfs'
bottom sequence. At that moment, I can only reboot.

I can mount and work on my partitions from a 15.10 live dvd.

My crypt setup:

/dev/mapper/crypt_root is active and is in use.
  type:LUKS1
  cipher: aes-xts-plain64
  keysize: 512 bits
  device: /dev/sdb3
  offset: 4096 sectors
  size:491304960 sectors
  mode:read/write
/dev/mapper/crypt_home is active and is in use.
  type:LUKS1
  cipher: aes-cbc-essiv:sha256
  keysize: 256 bits
  device: /dev/sda7
  offset: 4096 sectors
  size:1130182656 sectors
  mode:read/write

My /etc/initramfs-tools/modules was empty before the 15.10 upgrade, now it
contains:

cryptoloop
aes
sha256
aes-x86_64
sha512-ssse3
dm-mod
dm-crypt

My partition should be mounted like this:

/dev/mapper/crypt_root on / type ext4 (rw,relatime,data=ordered)
/dev/mapper/crypt_home on /home type ext4 (rw,relatime,data=ordered)
/dev/sdb2 on /boot type ext4 (rw,relatime,stripe=4,data=ordered)
/dev/sda2 on /boot/efi type vfat
(rw,relatime,fmask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=mixed,errors=remount-ro)
udev on /dev type devtmpfs
(rw,nosuid,relatime,size=4039992k,nr_inodes=1009998,mode=755)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts
(rw,nosuid,noexec,relatime,gid=5,mode=620,ptmxmode=000)
proc on /proc type proc (rw,nosuid, nodev, noexec, relatime)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw,nosuid, nodev, noexec, relatime)
tmpfs on /run type tmpfs (rw,nosuid,noexec,relatime,size=810576k,mode=755)

Best regards

[Bug 747081] Re: [Natty] [Kubuntu] Cannot enable wireless in Network Manager plasmoid

2011-04-30 Thread Encolpe Degoute
The same problem that had henrisk.
I tried the internal ath9K that was working with 10.10 and an external usb
wireless card.
I tried under gnome classic with nm-applet and the same problem was present:
when I clic on 'enable wireless' it is disabled by the system or the
application in the next second. There's no log.

$ cat /var/lib/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.state

[main]
NetworkingEnabled=true

[Bug 747081] Re: [Natty] [Kubuntu] Cannot enable wireless in Network Manager plasmoid

2011-04-30 Thread Encolpe Degoute
I fixed my problem with adding 'blacklist acer-wmi' in the
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file.
If it works your bug may be a duplicate or a new use case of the acer-wmi
regression bug:

[Bug 652082] Re: fails trying to use unexistant library

2011-04-04 Thread Encolpe Degoute
Quickly,
if you check the strace in the first message and a `dpkg -L libphysfs1` you
will find that the program search libphysfs.so.1 everywhere but where it is
really.
Next point, I waited for 4 monthes between my request and the ACK.

[Bug 717459] [NEW] obsolete mimetype for smil

2011-02-11 Thread Encolpe Degoute
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mime-support

Hello,

In regards of w3c docuementation the smil mimetype must be application/smil+xml:
-
http://www.w3.org/TR/SMIL/smil-modules.html#smilModulesNS-SMIL30MimeModules-Mime

In create a bug when firefox asks for smil data to apache: the response
in interpreted as plain text instead of xml and reject in ajax.

This bug should be present this 2005 in all debian and ubuntu releases.

Best regards,
