With 4.19 the computer hangs completely in a short time. It's not related because in first place the bug only freezes video. I can enter via ssh and get logs. We have this problem for a long, long time now. I supposed a hardware fault but changed motherboard, graphics card, memtest my ram, etc. I send this bug report because I think that is a kernel/software problem. This must take in caution but I believe that I had this problem since 14.04. By the way, I installed a clean 16.04 release some months ago. Maybe an important point is that some days before system crash, I start to see problems with window manager, maybe compiz related. Windows isn't refreshing accordingly. ok. We will test v4.19 and I will try to record the windows problem and attach here. I think we resolved this issue. We had this problem every day in some boxes after update from precise to trusty. When we tried to update wine, we can't because synaptic found broken packages. The history was that solving wine problem we solved this too. A fast search for packages versions with precise text in there give us as result some libs, etc. Removing them and updating them solved our problem. Copy the attached library to /usr/lib/libapt-pkg-libc6.10-6.so.4.8.0 to solve the problem while an updated apt package arrive.
