[Bug 1800306] Re: Computer hangs completely passed 15~25 days of usage

2018-11-07 Thread Extreme Micro S.L.
With 4.19 the computer hangs completely in a short time. It's not
related because in first place the bug only freezes video. I can enter
via ssh and get logs.

Any suggestion?

[Bug 1800306] Re: Computer hangs completely passed 15~25 days of usage

2018-10-30 Thread Extreme Micro S.L.
We have this problem for a long, long time now. I supposed a hardware fault but
changed motherboard, graphics card, memtest my ram, etc. I send this bug report
because I think that is a kernel/software problem.
This must take in caution but I believe that I had this problem since 14.04. By
the way, I installed a clean 16.04 release some months ago.

Maybe an important point is that some days before system crash, I start
to see problems with window manager, maybe compiz related. Windows isn't
refreshing accordingly.

ok. We will test v4.19 and I will try to record the windows problem and
attach here.

Regards

You can add the below line to the file /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.cups-

/etc/cups/lpoptions r, #line to add. It will allow cups to read lptoptions
  /etc/cups/cups-browsed.conf r,

I think we resolved this issue.

We had this problem every day in some boxes after update from precise to
trusty. When we tried to update wine, we can't because synaptic found broken
packages. The history was that solving wine problem we solved this too.
A fast search for packages versions with precise text in there give us as
result some libs, etc. Removing them and updating them solved our problem.

Exactly with this Downgrade: liblcms2-2:amd64 (2.6-3ubuntu1~precise1,
2.5-0ubuntu4)

If anyone can confirm this...

[Bug 990740] Re: upgrading from lucid to precise fails

2012-05-19 Thread Extreme Micro S.L.
We removed all non main ubuntu repositories from sources.list and updated apt,
then removed packages not in repositories with the list that we get from:
apt-show-versions | grep 'No available'

Without rebooting, we do a 'do-release-upgrade -d' and it worked
perfectly... so, our problem was a mix of ubuntu repositories in
sources.list.
