This issue still exists with 15.04. If you are lazy and only want to
type the password, it still requires your finger to authenticate. Even
if the fingerscan is invalid, but the password was correct.

We're using squid/2.7.STABLE5 proxy on port 8081. Manual configuration
is needed, no transparent proxy.

Blaming on Ubuntu doesn't solve the problem.
The importance has been increased a few weeks ago (Wishlist → Medium).

Just as Peter said,
the panel is stuck open sometimes.
