Is there a timeline for when the fix for Focal will be released? I have
corrupted half my music collection due to this bug, good thing I had a
backup.

I'm experiencing this bug exactly. My microphone works fine on Firefox
and Brave, but it doesn't work on Chromium. I see exactly the same error
as in the original report when running Chromium in a shell:
