[Bug 872219] Re: Applications lens disappears
I have the same problem. Once in a while the application lens appears but most of the time not. I'm starting applications from terminal. Tests with lens not showing: pgrep -f unity-applications-daemon shows 2135, so its running. Killed it, restart: Nothing happens, lens does not appear, no messages on the terminal. System: I upgraded from 11.04. Everything standard except from using ATI-fglrx. No ppas. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/872219 Title: Applications lens disappears To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/872219/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 391628] Re: Everything gets swapped out after resume from suspend using fglrx drivers
I'm experiencing exactly this behaviour on my current laptop. System: Lenovo IdeaPad S205 kernel version: 2.6.39.2 fglrx/catalyst version: 11.6 It's the last remaining bug in Ubuntu on my system and i would be quite happy to get it fixed. Is AMD aware of this bug? I'll have to try the free driver for the gfx hardware but the last time i tried it wasn't supporting external display as well as the closed source driver does. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391628 Title: Everything gets swapped out after resume from suspend using fglrx drivers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/391628/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 721576] Re: [natty] kernel panic on reboot with (U)EFI
@Xeelee: what about halt/restart/suspend? Does it work for all three commands? On my Lenovo S205 with reboot=a,w only restart works. [Bug 721576] Re: [natty] kernel panic on reboot with (U)EFI
@Jarrett Miller: thanks for this hint! I added reboot=a,w to the kernel command line in /etc/defaults/grub and now rebooting works on my Lenovo IdeaPad S205. [Bug 765659] [NEW] crash on reboot on Lenovo Ideapad S205
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: upstart Hello, i get a stack trace for process reboot on every attempt to halt or reboot my machine (a Lenovo Ideapad S205). After that the computer is frozen and i have to hard-reset the computer manually. Other members of a board/forum have reproduced this behaviour on their Lenovo Ideapad S205. I tried to capture the stack trace with netconcole but didn't succeed. I took a picture instead (see attachment). The problem occurs with the default kernel of Natty Narwal and with mainline kernel v2.3.39-rc3. Release: Ubuntu Natty, 11.04 (with latest updates via apt-get) upstart: Installed: 0.9.4-1ubuntu1 I use grub-efi-amd64 as boot package. ** Affects: upstart (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/765659 Title: crash on reboot on Lenovo Ideapad S205 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 541620] Re: Ralink RT3090 Wireless Not Supported in Lucid
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad S205 with RaLink RT3090 wireless interface. With Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwal wifi doesn't work after install. The modules rt2860sta and rt2800pci are conflicting. Manually blacklisting one module and using the other one didn't work either. However after upgrading to ubuntu mainline kernel v2.3.39-rc3 wifi works using module rt2800pci which contains significant updates by the manufacturer in 2.3.39. There is a problem left in combination with module ideapad_laptop which processes acpi events to activate/deactivate wifi. However a workaround for this problem exists. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/541620 Title: Ralink RT3090 Wireless Not Supported in Lucid -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
