[Bug 1198375] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in sem_post()

2013-11-26 Thread Francesco Castellana
I got the same crash even with the zeitgeist plugin disabled, therefore
it might be something else. I'm trying different combinations of
plugins.

I updated the BIOS to the latest version but there was no difference.
Maybe related to Bug #1129251 ?

[Bug 1173279] Re: Atheros AR8152 v2.0 Fast Ethernet (rev c1) stops working after some minutes

2013-04-30 Thread Francesco Castellana
I confirm bug still exists using latest mainline kernel:
3.9.0-030900-generic #201304291257 SMP Mon Apr 29 16:58:15 UTC 2013
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Sometimes seems to work for a long time without intervention, sometimes
works for just a few minutes.

[Bug 1173279] [NEW] Atheros AR8152 v2.0 Fast Ethernet (rev c1) stops working after some minutes

2013-04-26 Thread Francesco Castellana
Public bug reported:

After some minutes of booting up the ethernet card stops working without any
evident reason. The same situation was described in the old Bug #680239 over
kernel 2.6.35.
It works correctly in Ubuntu 12.04.2 and it worked without any problem in
12.10. Haven't tried with a clean installation (this was upgraded from 12.10),
will try from a live media later.

I've had crackling or distortion on the audio output. Audio was

The output will vary from normal, to crackling, to distorted, to the
stuck machine-gun sound if and only if I change the audio volume up
and down. This is the same across all sound sources.

Audio card is cs46xx based hercules game theater XP. Running latest

[Bug 472366] Re: Touchpad clicks freeze system unless mouse plugged in

2010-09-23 Thread Francesco Castellana
FWIW I can still see this bug with Maverick's beta live on the laptop I
previously reported.
Booting without a USB mouse plugged in goes on until the desktop is fully
loaded, then, as soon as I start using the touchpad the screen blanks and the
machine becomes totally unresponsive.
Same thing happens when unplugging the mouse after being plugged in during
system boot.

[Bug 493069] [NEW] Nautilus displays the space available on the local disk instead of cloud space in UbuntuOne folders

2009-12-06 Thread Francesco Castellana
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

When browsing UbuntuOne folders in Nautilus I expected the available space
reported on the status bar to be the one of my UbuntuOne account; instead
nautilus reports as available the free space on the home partition.
Not sure if it's a nautilus or ubuntuone-client bug; not a serious bug, either,
but it would be nice to see how much space is available.

Seems related to the old radeon mobile drivers bug which seems to never
have been fixed on both laptops I've experienced it, even after more
than a year, even if it's been declared fixed in the past. Can't find it
