[Bug 430501] Re: search all tomboy notes crashes

2009-09-17 Thread Frank Bynum
I get this crash as well, but only when it's running as a panel applet.
When I run it as an application-- launched with mono --debug
/usr/lib/tomboy/Tomboy.exe with icon in the information area instead of
the panel-- the crash does not occur.

I'm missing some -dbgsym packages but I can't tell which ones.

[Bug 34898] Re: Requires keyring password to connect to WEP/WPA network

2007-09-09 Thread Frank Bynum
Robert,

You're correct that using autologin requires you to enter a password to
unlock.

This bug then perhaps could stay open, to represent the idea that NM
using gnome-keyring to store this information may be less than ideal
(under the assumption that passwordless logon to a computer connected
via wireless is a goal of this distro). I don't know if the better
answer is further changing libpam-gnome-keyring to include autologin or
just changing NM entirely.

The former seems like the road already taken, and seems more desirable.
Creating a process in NM to store encrypted passwords goes against some
fundamental GNU/Linux principles. Interoperability and calling specific
programs to do specific work still seems the best option.

Perhaps someone should file a bug against libpam-gnome-keyring to
correct autologin behavior.

[Bug 108722] Crash when attempting to sign a message using a revoked GPG/PGP key

2007-04-21 Thread Frank Bynum
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: balsa

I also tried to reproduce this using the public key part of a revoked
key, but balsa does not allow you to encrypt to a revoked key. It will
let you (try to) sign using a revoked key.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Make sure you have a revoked GPG key in your keyring that corresponds to the
address you use in balsa to send e-mail
2. Using the account that corresponds to the revoked key, write out a message
3. Make sure that you have selected to sign the message with GPG
4. Send the message

[Bug 51660] Re: Look up with smart bookmarks opens results in new window

2006-07-04 Thread Frank Bynum
Changed to epiphany-extensions, as Smart Bookmarks is an extension.

This does not necessarily have to be fixed upstream, as it can also be
turned off and on with a gconf setting

/apps/epiphany/extensions/smart-bookmarks/dictionarysearch/open_in_tab

is a boolean setting that the Smart Bookmarks extension calls to see
whether to open the search results in a new tab. Regardless of whether
the code is changed upstream to make opening in tabs the default, Ubuntu
should ship with the above boolean set to true. Right now, Dapper
ships without this setting even existing.
