[Bug 914776] [NEW] Truecrypt mail with error 3 incorrect password attempts

2012-01-11 Thread FrankSL
Public bug reported:

Hi,
I posted this to the ubuntu forums but got no answers:

I have recently upgraded my hp 6710b laptop from 11.04 to 11.10.
This is my developement machine so I have postfix installed as well as
truecrypt that mounts my favourite volumes, asking me for the password on gui
login.
Every time I enter the truecrypt password (even if the password is correct at
first attempt) I receive a mail from the same machine telling:

3 incorrect password attempts ; TTY=unknown ; PWD=/home/xxx ; USER=root
; COMMAND=/usr/bin/truecrypt --core-service

The encrypted partition is mounted and works correctly, but this message is
very annoying and didn't happen before.
I've read something about PAM problems, but don't know if this is the case.
Truecrypt is updated to latest version.

** Affects: ubuntu
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

[Bug 760131] Re: Power consumption raised significantly in natty

2011-10-26 Thread FrankSL
I have a HP 6710b laptop and still have this problem in Natty with latest
updates. My system i a dual boot with windows xp, so I can easily compare
battery life and with natty is way shorter than with windows.
Please tell me if I can provide any info.

[Bug 391976] Re: Ekiga freeze after I press hang up button

2010-04-29 Thread FrankSL
I had this problem under ubuntu 9.10/ekiga 3.2.5 and solved it upgrading to
3.2.6 but I experience a new problem: if I try to reject an incoming call I
have to click the reject button twice because the first time it looks like it's
interrupting the call but after a while the accept/reject dialog appears again.
If I reject the second time the call gets correctly interrupted.
Thanks.

[Bug 247027] Re: initramfs prompts because of dmraid

2009-01-02 Thread FrankSL
I confirm bug is still present in ubuntu 8.10 on an hp Proliant ML310 server.
I tried other versions of dmraid from other maintainers (up until rc15) with no
luck.
Even the settle workaround does not work.
Please tell me if you need any info about the system,
Thanks
