[Bug 516280] Re: Very slow printing of PDF files with evince

2013-03-27 Thread Fujisan
As for me, the pdf I want to print was generated with latex. It contains only
text.
And it takes years to get printed on my Ricoh Afficio MP C2050.

Some precision:
Printing with evince is slow, but printing with epdfviewer is a lot faster!

[Bug 1076347] Re: two-sided printing not working on my pc, no problem on another one.

2012-11-29 Thread Fujisan
More info:

I still cannot print 2 pages / sheet with evince so I installed
epdfview-0.1.8-3ubuntu1 and 2-sided printing is working with epdfview.

There is definitely a problem with evince, not cups!

[Bug 1076347] [NEW] two-sided printing not working on my pc, no problem on another one.

2012-11-08 Thread Fujisan
Public bug reported:

I am trying to print a pdf file, 2 pages per sheet (two-sided printing).

After opening the Print dialog, I go in tab Page Setup, then select
Long Edge (standard) for option Two-sided but I always get 1 page
printed per sheet. Same problem with ps and dvi files.

On another pc, I do the same but this time I get 2 pages per sheet
(which I want).

Also, my home directory is located on a server and exported to those 2 pcs (nfs
mounted). So that printing problem is not related to some config file in my
home directory.
And I use only one printer (cups driven).

Regards,
F.

[Bug 807507] Re: apparmor denies evince creating links in .local/share/gvfs-metadata

2012-11-07 Thread Fujisan
Hello,

I see the same kind of message in my /var/log/syslog file after an

I do not see these messages on another machine I upgraded the same way.

Also, I am unable to print 2 pages / sheet, but I do not have this
problem for the 2nd machine.

Is this problem related to the two-sided printing?

After creating directory /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs, I have to manually
mount rpc_pipefs with

  mount -t rpc_pipefs rpc_pipefs /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs/

and then start the idmapd service to make it run.

Yes, i have this problem with all the views.
I do have some messages concerning nautilus like:

Initializing nautilus-gdu extension
Initializing nautilus-dropbox 0.6.8
** (nautilus:1888): DEBUG: Got notification of SyncDaemon startup in
NameOwnerChanged

and tons of these:

(nautilus:1888): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_value_get_object: assertion
`G_VALUE_HOLDS_OBJECT (value)' failed

I have to say also that my laptop is brand new and the installation of ubuntu
went well.
I had the exact same problem on my old laptop and I did not see the problem
right after i installed ubuntu on the new laptop.
I think it appeared after I installed a package but I don't know which one.
