[Bug 346495] [NEW] Recorder unable to record

Public bug reported: Ubuntu 8.10 I opened SOUND AND VIDEO SOUND RECORDER When I press Record, elapsed time counter doesn't coincide with recording; runs on its own. Recorder will not record. I receive no indication in the Level area, even though Mike is at full volume. A small red dot appears
