[Bug 208137] Re: Add vt8623fb to blacklisted framebuffer drivers

2009-04-16 Thread Ge-org Brohammer
I don't know if this is related but that driver is used on a terminal
that did not want to initialise the x server correctly.

Since blacklisting the driver it works, but streaming video from the
terminal sever no longer works, only a black box is observed then the
video player quits.

Maybe this driver is supposed to add the video overlay or something it
that regard or the hardware video acceleration?

[Bug 292297] Re: webcam ID 093a:2624 Pixart Imaging, Inc. doesnt work!

2009-01-14 Thread Ge-org Brohammer
I too confirm that this is a problem. The video output is corrupted I
get allot of green and static.

My web cam used to work fine in 8.04 but in 8.10 it stops working
correctly. The only program capable of displaying video correctly is
cheese. Skype, ekiga, vlc, etc... gives me garbage.

I think this has to do with the gspca kernel module because I have a
chicony webcam with the same problem. The device id: 093a:2624 Pixart
Imaging.

[Bug 208137] Re: Add vt8623fb to blacklisted framebuffer drivers

[Bug 172526] Two-sided printing problem in libgnomeprint

2007-11-28 Thread Ge-org Brohammer
Public bug reported:

All the programs that use libgnomeprint printing dialog fails do give me
two-side printing capability. In the two-sided option drop down list,
only one option is available: One-sided, but my printer has the duplex
option enabled (Kyocera C5015n network printer).

Duplex printing in programs that do not use libgnomeprint works fine
like openoffice.

Yes, I have already done so as Openoffice already gives me that option
from the driver settings. I have selected the option: Duplex Unit.
The print dialog does not reflect this change in the Two-sided option

[Bug 98907] Re: [apport] compiz.real crashed with SIGSEGV in eventLoop()

2007-04-30 Thread Ge-org Brohammer
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 110662 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/110662

Hi, I'm sorry for the late response due to South African holidays.

The ubuntu utility did work before I used the gnome-compiz-manage.
After some web searching I think this problem might be coming from the
Nvidia self compiled driver. I experimented with Beryl and found that I
needed to add the following options to the xorg.conf file in addition
to just using the nvidia driver as is:

Section Device
Identifier Generic Video Card
Driver nvidia
Option UseFBDev true
Option RenderAccel true
Option AllowGLXWithComposite true
Option backingstore true
Option AddARGBGLXVisuals true
Option TripleBuffer true
EndSection

Compiz is working again but my title bars are black, beryl with the
emerald window decorator works fine.
