[Bug 1865169] Re: volume and light not working in Gnome Shell 3.35
I was simply checking the status and mis-clicked. Can't change it back now (Odd). [Bug 1002187] Re: Skype won't start (segmentation fault)
Instead of using the command each time you start the computer through the terminal or have the application start with the computer. Then you can simpy fix the icon itself. sudo mv /usr/bin/skype /usr/bin/skype-bin sudo apt-get install gksu gksu gksu gedit /usr/bin/skype and then paste the following #!/bin/sh export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/mesa/libGL.so.1 exec skype-bin "$@" And then fix the perms. sudo chmod 0755 /usr/bin/skype You can now use your icon again or simply write "skype" in the terminal. [Bug 1011780] Re: trying to install psychonauts enters infinite crash loop
The symptoms started to reappear at 2.1 GB (I tested it twice just to be sure) So clearing the cache did not fix it after all :/ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1011780 Title: trying to install psychonauts enters infinite crash loop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/1011780/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1011780] Re: trying to install psychonauts enters infinite crash loop
I cleared the cache from the terminal by typing the following: sudo apt-get clean That fixed the problem with Ubuntu Software Center repeatedly crashing and it is downloading just fine now. (But the file-size bug is still present as I currently have downloaded 880,2 MB out of 133,3 MB :S ) I think clearing the cache really did the job :-) (I will return shortly with an answer) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1011780 Title: trying to install psychonauts enters infinite crash loop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/1011780/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 293195] Re: White Screen When Launching PlaneShift in Fullscreen Mode Under Ubuntu 8.10
I have already located the culprit - when I deactivated Compiz (the desktop effects), the error vanished. TEMP FIX: Deactivate compiz So I guess the error is with compiz, not the game? I hope someone can solve this - It would be nice to have both up and running at the same time. (So I am not forced to deactivate Compiz every time I want to play the game, and then activate it again afterwards.) [Bug 293195] Re: White Screen When Launching PlaneShift in Fullscreen Mode Under Ubuntu 8.10
Hello I am using Ubuntu 8.10 with a Nvidia 6600 graphic card. 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV43 [GeForce 6600] (rev a2) I am using: 'NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (version 177) [Recommended] And I can sadly reproduce/confirm the error. When I launch the game in window mode, it works perfectly - but when I use full screen mode, I get a white screen, and I am forced to reboot/restart the x-window. I don't have the same problem with other games, just planeshift - and I would be grateful if anyone could fix this issue. // GonzoDark -- White Screen When Launching PlaneShift in Fullscreen Mode Under Ubuntu 8.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293195 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
