[Bug 852923] Re: gnome-raw-thumbnailer doesn't do anything
Good news! Today I had some time to play with it and I have created a simple, but working patch. It just puts gnome-raw.thumbnailer (see comment #20 ) in /usr/share/thumbnailers/ during install. I tried to make a PPA for testing, but all this bzr, ppa and package building stuff takes way more than 1 day to understand. I have only managed to build a deb for myself without correct info (like version - USC won't let you install it, I had to do it by dpkg -i). But if fix in comment #20 works for you, then the patched package should too. So we just need somebody more experienced to apply my patch to trunk (maybe even upstream) and bug will be fixed in newer versions. ** Patch added: gnome3.patch https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-raw-thumbnailer/+bug/852923/+attachment/3610046/+files/gnome3.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/852923 Title: gnome-raw-thumbnailer doesn't do anything To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-raw-thumbnailer/+bug/852923/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1007508] Re: ACPI bug in Precise (generic kernel 3.2.0.24.26)
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: On my new PC something is wrong with ACPI support under Linux. WORKAROUND: I have to boot it with acpi=off and nolapic, without any of those two system won't boot. (As a side effect it detects only one CPU core and won't shut down completely, I have to hold power button for few seconds to power PC off.) My configuration: Ubuntu 12.04 (upgraded from 11.10) Processor AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core RAM 8,00 GB Graphic Gigabyte GV-N56GOC-1GI (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560) Mainboard Gigabyte GA-870A-USB3 Disk ATA OCZ-AGILITY3 (SSD) According to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingACPI I tried booting it with acpi=ht (also with acpi=ht AND nolapic), but not to avail. Quote: 'If acpi=off works and acpi=ht fails, then the issue is in the ACPI table parsing code itself, or perhaps the SMP code. ' I will also attach files mentioned on the DebuggingACPI wiki page. + --- + AcpiTables: + + AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24. + ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu12 + Architecture: amd64 + AudioDevicesInUse: + USERPID ACCESS COMMAND + /dev/snd/controlC1: elgregor 2200 F pulseaudio + /dev/snd/controlC0: elgregor 2200 F pulseaudio + Card0.Amixer.info: + Card hw:0 'SB'/'HDA ATI SB at 0xfe024000 irq 7' +Mixer name : 'Realtek ALC889' +Components : 'HDA:10ec0889,1458a002,0014' +Controls : 48 +Simple ctrls : 22 + Card1.Amixer.info: + Card hw:1 'NVidia'/'HDA NVidia at 0xfbffc000 irq 11' +Mixer name : 'Nvidia GPU 16 HDMI/DP' +Components : 'HDA:10de0016,10de0101,00100100' +Controls : 24 +Simple ctrls : 4 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 + HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=5c04833b-d470-4324-b361-fee89f01b6ba + InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot - Release amd64 (20111011) + MachineType: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. [Bug 1007508] [NEW] ACPI bug in Precise (generic kernel 3.2.0.24.26)
Public bug reported: On my new PC something is wrong with ACPI support under Linux. I have to boot it with acpi=off and nolapic, without any of those two system won't boot. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007508 Title: ACPI bug in Precise (generic kernel 3.2.0.24.26) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1007508/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 999070] [NEW] XCF thumbnailer doesn't work
Public bug reported: Installed gnome-xcf-thumbnailer does nothing in Precise, because in /usr/share/thumbnailers/ there is no .thumbnailer file. I attached a file that worked for me. This (or similar) file should be added to /usr/share/thumbnailers/ while installing this package. ** Affects: gnome-xcf-thumbnailer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Tags: gimp gnome nautilus thumbnail thumbnailer xcf -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/999070 Title: XCF thumbnailer doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-xcf-thumbnailer/+bug/999070/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
