[Bug 1948010] Re: photo comment changed in "binary comment"
Hi again, this bug that happened recently is still there for comments using accentuated or special characters (like french characters). Yes, it seems to come from Exiv2 function. But Exiv2 team did bring an answer to it : https://github.com/Exiv2/exiv2/pull/1432 Could you please take it into account for the next Shotwell version, because it is a big nuisance for non english writers. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1948010 Title: photo comment changed in "binary comment" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/1948010/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1948010] Re: photo comment changed in "binary comment"
"But they become "binary comment" as soon I open the comment window again (F3)" That is because, actualy, Shotwell keeps the real comment in its database but the embedded metadata of the picture (Right-Clic on the picture in Nautilus) remains as "binary comment".
I do have the same issue. I find out this happens systematicaly when I use accentuated characters in a Comment. I am french so this is quite often ! When I close Shotwell and reopen it, the Comment is good, with accents. But the metadata of the picture still says "binary comment". Strange because I activated the option to write metadata in the picture. Is there a link with the fact that Title begins with lang="x-default" in the metadata of the picture even if Shotwell doesn't show that ? If you need more details, please just ask.

[Bug 1551326] [NEW] No "Answer" button in bluetooth phone car onboard screen
Public bug reported: Bluetooth connection is well automatically established since OTA 8.5. Adress book is populated and to give a call works nice. But when it is an entry call, the phone car system rings and the onboard screen menu only permits to hang up the call. There is no button to pick up the call. You have to push the answer button on the mobile phone if you want to answer. Not very useful when the phone is in your pocket. ** Affects: phablet-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bluetooth phone -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1551326 Title: No "Answer" button in bluetooth phone car onboard screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/phablet-tools/+bug/1551326/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
