I can confirm that this bug is in Ubuntu Hardy Heron.
I have firefox 3.0~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu2. (the Firefox version pre-installed in
Ubuntu.)
The bug appear only if the tab is being closed, not when you leave the
page.
