UEFI.

Hi, I have a Baytrail-based Compal ZAW70 (sold under the brand "Kelyx"
in Argentina) which was affected by this bug. I installed using ukuu
both 4.14.9 and 4.14.10 kernels without resolving the issue, the UEFI
settings remain read only.
Just loading the updated SPI driver resolves the issue or
What Chris said in #8 is incorrect, as I got this issue on a clean
installed 64-bit Ubuntu 12.10, installing the nVidia drivers through the
Restricted Drivers control panel.

The LG L1740PQ monitor (17 LCD, 1280x1024) is not identified (Ubuntu
configures it as Generic Monitor) and defaults it to a non-native
resolution of 1024x768. Videocard is a nVidia GeForce 7300LE made by
