It works nicely with the --trayicon switch.
I created a script to replace the original file with a script which will use
the switch:
sudo mv /usr/bin/indicator-multiload /usr/bin/indicator-multiload.origi;
echo 'indicator-multiload.origi --trayicon' | sudo tee /usr/bin
/indicator-multiload; sudo
With a new install of 16.04, the workaround: 'sudo apt-get install kinit kio
kio-extras kded5 kinfocenter' helped.
One should really check the missing dependencies.

I had to change my board, because the K8N crashed. Now I have a A8N-E
with bios 1008. I also changed my video card to Radeon HD 4350. I also
upgraded my system as usually, and have kernel 3.2.0-52 with the most up
to date video drivers.
Since the change, I don't have
With 12.04.02 it is still not working.
Even if I have this:

Restarting the nm-applet after login, works.

nm-applet to work properly.

/etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop
and change this line:
