[Bug 452772] Re: Rt kernels sometimes hang at boot on amd64 systems
I have same problem. Alt install dvd refuses to boot on Phenom II 9550 DDR3 AM3 motherboard, show blank screen. I'm using nvidia 9500. However, same dvd works weel if I swap the motherboard to Athlon 5050 DD2 AM2. If I install Studio 9.10 and than swap motherboad again to AM3 - it boot the system in ~50% attempts. However, after boot it usually hung in few minutes. Just freeze, only reset heps. Ubuntu server kernel boots fine on both MB. -- Rt kernels sometimes hang at boot on amd64 systems https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/452772 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 363785] Re: kernel 2.6.28-3-rt doesn't boot
I have similar problem with 9.10 RC. It freezing when I try to boot from install dvd. Have tried 3 motherboards: ASUS AM3 + Phenom II 9550 + DD3 - freeze at boot GIGABYTE + same proc memory as above - freeze at boot BIOSTAR + Athlon 5050 + DD2 - works well will try nosmp today. However, what the point to have quad core proc and disable it? Besides Athlon is dual core and it works. please let me know if I can help somehow to resolve that problem. -- kernel 2.6.28-3-rt doesn't boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363785 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
