[Bug 794447] [NEW] update-grub2 needs to *not* ignore -ec2 kernels
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: grub2 In bug #671097, it was determined that update-grub2 needs to ignore -ec2 kernels. [Bug 336064] Re: Java applications have no content when maximized
This is most likely because Swing hardcodes a list of non-parenting window managers. If the WM is such but is not in the Swing list, bugs will occur. [Bug 311847] Re: Stjerm doesn't receive focus when opened
This seems to be caused by Compiz's focus stealing prevention. If you disable that, stjerm gets focus properly. You can also add a rule to Compiz's focus stealing prevention window matching rule (e.g. my rule is now (any) !(name=stjerm)) to disable the prevention for stjerm. [Bug 324478] [NEW] 256 color terminal support
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: screen-profiles Under e.g. TERM=gnome-256color (termcap from ncurses-term), the bottom bar in ubuntu-dark is completely black, whereas under TERM=xterm it is gray. Perhaps these should be the same? ** Affects: screen-profiles (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- 256 color terminal support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/324478 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 321869] Re: .profile not running after making screen default at login
Is this really invalid? I got hit by this too; why does this package require use of .bash_profile instead of .profile? -- .profile not running after making screen default at login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321869 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 324478] Re: 256 color terminal support
The above behaviour seems to be specific to gnome-256color; using gnome- terminal with TERM=xterm-256color works correctly. This is probably invalid, then. ** Changed in: screen-profiles (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- 256 color terminal support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/324478 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04? Thanks in advance. Yes, this still happens on that same machine, with Ubuntu 8.10. There is nothing relevant to icons when I do find ~ -iname '*pidgin*' which would indicate it's not my fault, unless I've actually modified the global install at some point, which I do not think I've done. -- pidgin program icon doesn't scale https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/216460 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 311781] Re: Ricoh 5 in 1 card reader not working on Ubuntu 8.10
Confirming on Dell XPS M1330, internal Ricoh R5C832 card reader. I have only tested with MMC cards however. Attaching lspci and dmesg commands. [Bug 292729] [NEW] nv driver misdetects monitor
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nv This bug has the same symptoms as bug #5801, but the log file is slightly different. The problem is that the nv driver does not detect the LCD panel resolution correctly, falling back to a very conservative resolution.
