[Bug 1322968] Re: Changing country leads to invalid locale

2020-05-21 Thread Ioannis Iliadis - Ilousis
Also in Kubuntu 20.04 with KDE Plasma 5.18.5. Editing of
/etc/default/locale, then restart, fixed issue.

[Bug 1633162] Re: Files application throws an error 'Oops! Something went wrong' when clicked on 'Recents'

2016-11-25 Thread Ioannis Iliadis - Ilousis
I can also confirm that: The post, of Jean-Max Reymond on 2016-11-07, is
the solution.

[Bug 1291574] Re: nouveau DRM GPU lockup, PFIFO unhandled status 0x00800000

2014-12-05 Thread Ioannis Iliadis - Ilousis
Maybe is needed to try a temporal or a permanent disabling
(deactivation) of nouveau driver, by blacklisting the driver. Temporal
is done by using the kernel parameter nouveau.blacklist=yes. Permanent
is done by adding the line 'blacklist nouveau' in the end of file
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf.

For more information please read these:

[Bug 1286845] Re: Duplicity crashes with UnicodeEncode error

2014-03-29 Thread Ioannis Iliadis - Ilousis
If System Language is set to English (System Settings → User Accounts →
Language → English), then back-up completes flawlessly. This is
confirmation to the observation of Alexander Kubashin (kubashin-a).

For el_GR.UTF-8 (as for ru_RU.UTF-8), the last line of errors is:
UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode characters in position 16-25:
ordinal not in range(128)

This bug, maybe it is the same as Bug #1276327 and similar to Bug
#989496 and Bug #554412 .
