no, the .deb files can be found in the cd of Ubuntu (or USB in my case).
But these packages aren't installed by default so go to
System--Administration--Software Source and in the Software for Ubuntu
tab chose the option that the packages can be installed from CD-ROM with

Something else, i have installed the plugin for mp3 files. Every time i
start to play a song (the songs that can be played) it ask me to search
for the plugin. I click cancel and then it starts to play the song. This
happens with every player.
