2012-05-09 Thread Ivan Gualandri
I can confirm that the problem is still present.
I'm not sure but i notice that it happens not only with huge files, but also
when workin with a browser with many tabs opened, i'm not sure if it is
related, but when the disk start to swap, i receive also several errors of
unresponsive scripts of the browser.

[Bug 526379] Re: GDM login fails with regular gnome-session (lucid, i386)

2010-04-13 Thread Ivan Gualandri
I have the same problem with lucid lynx beta 1/2.

If I stop GDM with sudo service gdm stop and then launch x via normal
startx everything work fine.

But if i try to login with GDM, after clicking on a user, gdm restart
itself.

[Bug 310390] Re: Dell Mini9 :Broadcom WL, wpa_supplicant fails to associate with driver

2009-02-20 Thread Ivan Gualandri
I have the same problem with my hp 6735s.
Now i noticed one thing, if i launch first Windows with wi-fi authenticated to
the AP, and then i restart the pc and i launch linux, then the wi-fi will work,
sometimes for hours, and sometimes for few minutes.

I use wpa-psk.
And another strange thing, with network manager, when i insert a WPA-PSK key,
after it try to authenticate to the Access Point (without success) if i check
Show Password then the password is corrupted. It is normal?

[Bug 90459] Re: Programs random crash

2007-03-08 Thread Ivan Gualandri
Now i try with backtrace. I would add a new thing happend today, i'm running
adept installer and i'm searching for packet (with unsupported checked) and
adept crash like other programs, after i tried to restart it (and i want to
debug for backtrace), but it didn't want to start again,
ps aux | grep adept after crash doesn't have any process related
but after i tried to launch the program (that didn't start) i find this
process:
miroku6500 0.8 2.3 25372 11712 ?S09:41 0:00 kdesu -u root
-c kdesu adept_installer

i hope these information could be useful, waiting my backtraces :D

[Bug 90459] Re: Programs random crash

2007-03-08 Thread Ivan Gualandri
I did backtrace with firefox, and for gdb there aren't problem.
But with gdb active, i'd noticed another problem, there are troubles with
loading pages, when i click to some link they doesn't load i don't know if the
proxy is the cause, but the problem seem to happend only when i run firefox in
gdb mode.

Now i try to make crash other programs, and attach other backtrace.

2007-03-08 Thread Ivan Gualandri
I have another backtrace,
at the moment of crash i have 2 firefox running (with gmail chat via browser),
an amule client connected, kate and 2 terminal running, and amarok in
background (but it wasn't playing music)
the problem seems to happen always with task switch, in fact after a alt+tab it
crashed.

[Bug 90459] Programs random crash

2007-03-07 Thread Ivan Gualandri
Public bug reported:

In my kubuntu 6.10, running on a celeron m laptop, with 512mb ram, many
programs crash without advice, for example i'm working with firefox
(but every program is good), i switch application with alt+tab, and
after puff firefox disappeared.

I don't receive any error message or nothing, with ps aux, program is
disappeared from task list.

I've noticed (maybe it's only casual) this problem happen when i have
frequent task switch between many applications (using alt+tab).

My system is up-to-date
I hope these information are enough.
